As someone who knows how special the Hill Country is, I am so touched by the various ways people are asking to help, and the many companies looking to support our sacred place. My hope in putting these in one place, is that it is easier to know where to put your money.

Mighty Oaks Fundraiser

Mighty Oaks Counseling, PLLC is raising money to purchase Patrice Karst’s book “The Invisible String” and green yarn. This book details how we are all connected by our hearts and an invisible string. It helps children process separation, loss, and grief. Our hope was to get a book to every child that was on the flats during the flood, and to those lives that were lost, to get this book to their sibling(s). Due to the generous donations, we are now able to get books to all the Camp Mystic Guadalupe campers during second term. My hope is to get them to the Camp Mystic Cypress Creek campers, to all Camp Mystic campers, then to all the surround camps also affected.

You can find our GoFundMe HERE.

We will also need supplies for shipping, and of course, more books.

"In one way or another, so many in the JBD community have been touched by the tragedy in the Texas Hill Country.  Our neighborhood is transforming into a sea of green ribbons, amidst so many broken hearts.  Many communities all over Texas and beyond have ties to the devastation at Camp Mystic and its surrounding areas.

Feeling helpless, I wanted to do something for the area, as well as the little girls who are struggling with so many questions and hearting hearts.  Hopefully, this bracelet can serve as a reminder on their sweet little wrists (and adults too!) that they are not alone, and how much God loves them.

E Newton Jewelry

"egives to Camp Mystic - When a 4th generation Camp Mystic family, who had 8 cousins at camp during the recent tragedy, reached out to me to design a bracelet, I couldn’t. As a mother of 4, I did not feel I could do it justice.

An egives to Camp Mystic piece needed to be DESIGNED BY MYSTIC CAMPERS and that’s what we did!

Yes we are raising money and our prayer is that we will be able to support Camp Mystic in any and all ways needed, but that was not our focus or goal.

Our design meeting with MYSTIC Campers was focused on creating a sense of community. They wanted to find a way to make sure Camp Mystic families know people outside of camp, outside of Hunt and outside of Texas are with them. They wanted to honor and remember friends, counselors and Dick Eastland, while capturing the Christian roots of the camp and the magic behind the green gates.

Please join enewton and MYSTIC Campers by coming together to love and lift in prayer the Camp Mystic Community.

'We all rise by lifting others.'"
