With over 6 years of dedicated experience working with children and their families, Devyn Hagan is an enthusiastic and empathetic LPC Associate. Her passion lies in nurturing family connections and assisting families in navigating life's challenges. Her approach centers around cultivating an environment of care and acceptance; fostering free expression and meaningful connections.

From a trauma-informed perspective, Devyn is dedicated to guiding children through developmental hurdles and helping them process their thoughts and emotions. During her internship at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, Devyn supported children, teens, and adults in processing thoughts and emotions related to traumatic experiences. Her commitment led her to complete training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

In addition, her experience extends to working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). While pursuing her education, she served as a Registered Behavior Technician at an ABA company in Frisco. Through this role, she engaged with children of all ages, focusing on safety skills, coping strategies, and social interactions. Her practice is rooted in consent-based services, aiming to empower clients and promote identity development. Collaborating closely with families, she provides parent education and encourages partnership throughout the therapeutic journey.

Guided by an Adlerian approach, Devyn's counseling philosophy emphasizes individualized care. For children, she employs a Client-Centered play therapy approach, allowing them to communicate and express themselves freely through play. Her expertise encompasses aiding children dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation, aggressive behavior, school challenges, peer relationships, and familial dynamics.

Clients seeking support on their journey towards growth and well-being can reach out to Devyn, who looks forward to assisting them.
