The books listed above are ordered from very young children, to teens and young adults. As a therapist of almost 20 years, it has been wonderful to see new authors share their stories and voices each year. I acknowledge the importance of feeling represented in media, and hope that more stories continue to be told, to help those we love feel seen and understood.

Dr. Sarah

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.” — Brené Brown, “The Gifts of Imperfection”
